About
A mystical messenger of melody and higher consciousness, Jeffrey Brian Liebowitz is a profound singer/songwriter whose sound was cleverly described by one critic as Bob Dylan meets Kurt Cobain. Featured in publications like Billboard, The Los Angeles Times, Newsday and The New Yorker, along with television appearances on CBS, NBC, ABC, as well as numerous radio appearances on The Howard Stern Show, he and his twin brother gained worldwide notoriety in their rock band, The Jesus Twins.
Jeff has simultaneously paired the ascendancy of The Jesus Twins with a successful career as a singer/songwriter. He released a CD called, Karma, which Amazon.com called “riveting” and “a must own”. A deeply moving song he wrote entitled, Let Go & Let God, about his identical twin brother’s public bout with Manic Depression became a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
A full-length documentary about Jeff and his late twin brother’s life entitled, Jeffrey Brian and the Ghost of Zack Havoc, is currently in pre production. He also just published his twin brother’s memoirs called, Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. His own first two books, A Walk Towards Heaven and Dream Guidance are due to be released in the fall of 2012.
This spring, Jeffrey Brian, will go into the recording studio with Craig Adams of Winslow Court Studios to record, Majestic. Craig has recorded well-known artists such as Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), Steve Jones (The Sex Pistols), as well as Jazz greats Charles Neville (The Neville Brothers) and Herb Mickman. In addition, he has worked with everybody from Geoff Emerick (Engineer for The Beatles and Paul McCartney) and Jack Tempchin (Hit Songwriter for The Eagles) to session legends such as Bob Glaub (John Lennon) and Don Heffington (Bob Dylan).
